Massive Drug Bust in Karimganj: 30,000 YABA Tablets Seized
Desk Report, June 16, 2024: In a significant breakthrough, the Karimganj Police, in collaboration with the Border Security Force (BSF) G-Branch, seized 30,000 YABA tablets valued at Rs 9 crore from a vehicle in Karimganj. This joint operation also led to the apprehension of two individuals connected to the illicit consignment.
The success of this operation has garnered appreciation from the highest levels of state leadership. Assam Chief Minister took to the social media platform ‘X’ to commend the efforts of the law enforcement agencies. He posted, “Good job Assam Police and @BSF_India,” highlighting the remarkable achievement.
This seizure marks a substantial victory in the ongoing battle against drug trafficking in the region, showcasing the diligence and coordination between the Karimganj Police and the BSF.
