NDA Government’s Commitment to Farmers’ Welfare: BJP Assam Pradesh Applauds Release of PM-KISAN Funds
Guwahati, June 19, 2024: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Assam Pradesh, has expressed gratitude to the Narendra Modi-led NDA Government for releasing funds under the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Scheme. This initiative has brought relief to millions of farmers, not only in Assam but throughout the country.
In a press release, BJP Assam Pradesh Spokesperson Kalyan Gogoi highlighted the benefits reaped by thousands of farmers under the PM-KISAN Scheme, enabling them to significantly contribute to national production.
Spokesperson Gogoi lauded the scheme as a substantial boost to the nation’s economic structure. He noted that in Assam alone, 1.75 million farmers would benefit, receiving a total of Rs. 350 crore. Over recent years, Assam’s farmers have worked tirelessly to enhance agricultural output and increase exports.
Gogoi attributed the growth in Assam’s agriculture sector to Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma’s leadership. He emphasized agriculture as the backbone of the state’s economy. He also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for recognizing farmers’ contributions by holding a farmers’ convention in Varanasi. Similarly, the Assam Government has honored farmers, acknowledging their significant role in the economy.
