Karimganj Police Conduct Major Anti-Narcotic Operations, Seize Large Quantities of Drugs
Desk Report, June 23, 2024: In a significant victory against drug trafficking, Karimganj Police successfully conducted two separate anti-narcotic operations, resulting in substantial seizures and the apprehension of suspects. Acting on intelligence inputs, the police intercepted a vehicle carrying 806 kilograms of ganja. One individual was apprehended in connection with this operation.
In a parallel operation, Karimganj Police seized 10,000 YABA tablets valued at approximately Rs 3.5 crore. Another suspect was apprehended in relation to this significant haul.
The successful operations have drawn praise from Assam Chief Minister, who lauded the Karimganj Police’s efforts via social media, stating, “Commendable work Assam Police!”
These operations underscore the relentless efforts of Karimganj Police in Assam to combat the proliferation of illegal drugs and uphold the safety and security of the region.
