13 Fishermen Rescued by Assam State Disaster Management Authority with Indian Air Force Assistance in Dibrugarh
Guwahati, July 02, 2024: In a coordinated effort, the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), with the assistance of the Indian Air Force (IAF), successfully rescued thirteen fishermen stranded in Hatia Ali, a remote char area in Dibrugarh.
The rescue operation involved the deployment of an IAF helicopter to airlift the fishermen from the precarious location. All those rescued were immediately subjected to a medical checkup and have been confirmed to be medically fit.
The successful mission underscores the efficiency and readiness of the ASDMA and IAF in handling emergency situations and ensuring the safety of citizens in remote and challenging terrains.
