This decision was formally communicated by Sonia Gandhi to the Lok Sabha Speaker, announcing the appointments of several key positions within the Congress Party.
Alongside Gogoi’s reappointment, Kodikunnil Suresh has been named as the Chief Whip of the CPP, while Manickam Tagore and Dr. Md Jawaid have been appointed as Whips for the Congress Party in the Lok Sabha. These strategic appointments are expected to strengthen the party’s organizational structure and its role in the opposition.
Congress General Secretary K C Venugopal extended his congratulations to the newly appointed leaders via his official ‘X’ handle, underscoring their dedication to advocating for public interests.
