Body of Father Found in Gadadhar River; Search Continues for Missing Son
Dhubri, July 29, 2024: A tragic incident unfolded last night when a boat carrying a father and son sank in the Gadadhar River. The deceased has been identified as Ullah Bokso, while his son, Sabinur Rahman, remains missing.
The accident occurred around 9 PM as Ullah Bokso and Sabinur Rahman were traveling from Gauripur to their home in Sanjuarkuti. The small boat they were in capsized under mysterious circumstances, leading to their disappearance.
The local community immediately launched a search operation, but their efforts proved fruitless. The Gauripur police arrived at the scene, followed by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), which undertook an overnight search. This morning, the SDRF recovered the body of Ullah Bokso, which was subsequently sent to Dhubri Medical College & Hospital for postmortem.
As of now, efforts are ongoing to locate Sabinur Rahman. The SDRF continues its search operations in the Gadadhar River, striving to find any trace of the missing individual.
