Minor Boy Drowns in Brahmaputra River Near Dhubri Bridge Construction Site
Dhubri, July 30, 2024: In a heart-wrenching incident, a minor boy has gone missing while bathing in the Brahmaputra River near the under-construction Dhubri Phulbari Bridge. Hasen Ali, a resident of A M Co. Road in Dhubri, was reportedly bathing with a friend when he disappeared beneath the river’s surface.
The tragedy unfolded when Hasen Ali’s friend attempted a desperate rescue, but despite their efforts, the boy succumbed to the river’s strong currents. Personal belongings including Hasen Ali’s mobile phone, charger, sandals, and clothes were found scattered along the riverbank, intensifying the search for the missing boy.
The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has been deployed and is currently conducting extensive rescue operations in hopes of locating Hasen Ali. The community remains in a state of deep concern and sorrow as the search continues for the young boy.
