Chief Minister Launches Amrit Brikshya Andolan 2.0 by Planting Sapling in Guwahati
Guwahati, August 01, 2024: The Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, inaugurated the Amrit Brikshya Andolan (ABA) 2.0 by planting a sapling in Guwahati this morning. The ABA 2.0, celebrated from 1st to 15th August, aims to honor the contributions of mothers with the theme ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.’
This year’s initiative sets an ambitious target of planting three crore saplings across the state. Dr. Sarma emphasized the critical role of enthusiastic public participation to ensure the success of this massive environmental campaign, drawing parallels to the previous edition’s achievements.
The Chief Minister’s call to action underlines the importance of collective efforts in environmental conservation and paying tribute to the nurturing role of mothers. The ABA 2.0 seeks to inspire a widespread commitment to planting trees, fostering a greener and more sustainable Assam.
