Hailakandi Police Seize Abandoned Vehicle Containing Illegally Smuggled IMFL
Desk Report, August 08, 2024: In a significant breakthrough, the Hailakandi Police detected an abandoned vehicle bearing registration number AS 28 C 9805. Upon inspection, the authorities uncovered a substantial quantity of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) concealed within the vehicle.
The discovery, which amounted to 367.8 litres of IMFL, was found hidden inside the vehicle, indicating an attempt to smuggle the alcohol illegally. The police acted swiftly to seize both the vehicle and the illicit liquor as per standard procedures.
This incident highlights the ongoing efforts by Hailakandi Police to curb illegal activities and maintain law and order in the region. Investigations are underway to identify the individuals responsible for the smuggling attempt.
