Vigilance Directorate Nabs Accountant for Bribery in Jorhat District Agricultural Office
Jorhat, April 02, 2024: In a swift operation today, the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption successfully apprehended Rani Bora, the Accountant at the Office of the District Agricultural Officer in Jorhat. Bora was caught red-handed, having accepted a demanded bribe amounting to Rs 6000.
The bribe was solicited by Bora in exchange for expediting the processing of a travelling allowance for a complainant. This reprehensible act, undertaken within the confines of the office, underscores a grave breach of ethical conduct and administrative integrity.
