Amrit Brikshya Andolan 2024: Pioneering Assam’s Green Revolution
Guwahati, July 21, 2024: Building on the triumph of its inaugural edition, Amrit Brikshya Andolan (ABA) 2024, spearheaded by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, promises an expansive outreach and streamlined processes. The ambitious initiative aims to plant three crore saplings across Assam, involving a wide range of beneficiaries in this massive green endeavor.
Registration and renewals for the drive will commence soon, accessible until 31st July 2024 via the official website, aba.assam.gov.in, and the ABA mobile application. This digital approach ensures convenience for participants, reflecting the initiative’s commitment to modernizing environmental conservation efforts.
The distribution of seedlings is scheduled from 30th July to 12th August 2024. Participants are encouraged to capture and upload photographs of their plantation activities between 1st and 15th August 2024. These can be submitted through the ABA website or the mobile app, further integrating technology into this large-scale ecological movement.
By harnessing technology and community participation, ABA 2024 aims to set a new benchmark in afforestation and environmental stewardship in Assam.
