In a recent communication, Chief Minister Sarma revealed that he had received a call from the Hon’ble Home Minister, Amit Shah , expressing deep concern over the aftermath of the heavy rains and winds that struck parts of Assam on March 31. Chief Minister Sarma expressed his gratitude for the assurance of full support and assistance for relief and rehabilitation efforts on behalf of the Government of India.
The Chief Minister’s commitment to swift action and his acknowledgment of the support from the Government of India underscore the urgent need to address the widespread damage caused by the hailstorm. The state machinery is now geared towards providing immediate relief to the affected areas and initiating rehabilitation measures to help the affected families rebuild their lives.
