PM Modi Invited to 2025 Assam Investor Summit by Chief Minister Sarma
Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to discuss Assam’s development. During the meeting, CM Sarma sought the Prime Minister’s guidance on various developmental issues impacting the state.
As a gesture of respect, the Chief Minister presented a traditional Phulam Gamusa and a selection of Assam’s premium White Tea to PM Modi. These offerings symbolize Assam’s rich cultural heritage and thriving tea industry.
CM Sarma extended a formal invitation to PM Modi for the Assam Investor and Infrastructure Summit, scheduled to be held in Guwahati in February 2025. He also invited the Prime Minister to attend the Mega Jhumur performance, a showcase of Assam’s cultural vibrancy.
Taking to social media, CM Sarma expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to engage with the Prime Minister. He tweeted, “I had the privilege to receive Adarniya Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s guidance on various developmental issues.”
This meeting highlights the Assam government’s proactive efforts to promote state development and attract investment. The upcoming Investor Summit is expected to bring transformative opportunities for infrastructure growth and economic progress in the region.
