Assam CM Distributes PMAY-G Sanction Letters to Over 3.88 Lakh Beneficiaries

Guwahati, March 20, 2025: Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma handed out sanction letters to 3,88,358 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) during a ceremony in Rampur, Palasbari. This initiative aims to provide financial aid for rural housing.

The first installment of ₹37,500 will be transferred directly to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts starting March 19, 2025. This financial support will help kickstart the construction of their homes.

To assist those left out of the scheme, the state government will conduct a geo-tagging survey from March 17 to 26. This survey will identify eligible applicants who have not yet been included. The Chief Minister urged all villagers to participate in the survey to ensure they receive the PMAY-G benefits.

The PMAY-G scheme, launched by the central government, aims to provide affordable housing for rural families. The Assam government remains committed to ensuring that all deserving households receive the assistance they need for safe and stable housing.
