Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Prepares for Orunodoi 3.0 Launch; Directs Officials for Effective Rollout
Guwahati, September 15, 2024: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma led a virtual conference today, discussing Orunodoi 3.0 and the National Food Security Act (NFSA) with Members of Parliament (MPs), Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), and District Commissioners (DCs). His primary focus was ensuring the efficient rollout of these vital welfare programs.
During the meeting, Dr. Sarma emphasized the importance of raising awareness among potential beneficiaries. He directed all DCs to hold local meetings in each Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC). These meetings should be held ahead of the central launch of Orunodoi 3.0, scheduled for September 19, 2024, in Dispur.
Additionally, polling booths will serve as the operational centers for Orunodoi 3.0, a decision made during the discussions. The Chief Minister stressed the need for comprehensive coordination to ensure that the programs reach their target audiences effectively.
The Orunodoi 3.0 initiative aims to provide financial aid to underprivileged families in Assam, making it essential for officials to focus on its smooth implementation across the state.
