Assam CM Emphasizes Seamless Execution of Welfare Programs in Virtual Meeting

Guwahati: In a virtual conference, Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma reviewed the implementation and progress of key welfare initiatives. The meeting, attended by Deputy Commissioners (DCs), focused on Orunodoi 3.0, the National Food Security Act (NFSA), and the Anundoram Borooah Award.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister highlighted the critical role these programs play in improving lives. He instructed officials to ensure their smooth execution to benefit the state’s most vulnerable communities.

Dr. Sarma emphasized the importance of collaboration between MLAs and DCs. He urged them to actively raise public awareness about these schemes and work together to guarantee that benefits reach the intended beneficiaries.

The Chief Minister underscored the need for meticulous planning and proactive monitoring of Orunodoi 3.0. This flagship program provides direct financial assistance to women, empowering households across Assam. Similarly, he called for stringent adherence to the provisions of the NFSA to ensure food security for all eligible families.

Regarding the Anundoram Borooah Award, Dr. Sarma stressed the importance of recognizing and rewarding academic excellence. He urged timely disbursal of benefits under this initiative to encourage students’ academic pursuits.

The meeting concluded with the Chief Minister reiterating his commitment to effective governance and the upliftment of Assam’s underserved populations. The directives aim to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency in implementing these welfare programs.
