Assam CM Discusses Semiconductor Growth with Union Minister Ahead of Advantage Assam 2.0
Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister recently held discussions with Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who oversees Information and Broadcasting as well as Railways. The meeting focused on strengthening the semiconductor ecosystem in Assam.
At the outset, the Chief Minister expressed gratitude for the Union Minister’s support in boosting the sector. Assam aims to emerge as a key player in semiconductor manufacturing. The upcoming Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit, scheduled for February, will highlight this vision.
During the event, the Union Minister will present a detailed roadmap to position Assam as a global semiconductor hub. His expertise and commitment are expected to inspire confidence among investors. This initiative aligns with the development of Assam’s Electronic City, which is set to attract businesses and generate employment in the high-tech sector.
With strong government backing and clear policies, Assam is taking bold steps toward a future in semiconductor manufacturing. The Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit is expected to bring significant investments and partnerships to the state.
