Assam Govt to Credit October Salaries Early for Diwali Festivities
Guwahati: In a special announcement, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma declared that the Assam government would credit the October salaries of state government employees on October 28, 2024. This initiative, timed to coincide with the Diwali celebrations, aims to bring financial relief and enhanced festive cheer to the employees and their families.
Recognized as the “Festival of Lights,” Diwali is a deeply significant celebration in India, marked by lights, decorations, and family gatherings. By advancing the salary disbursement, the Assam government intends to support its employees in managing their festival expenses well in advance, enabling them to fully embrace the season’s joy and traditions.
The early release of salaries is seen as a gesture that could enhance the morale and festive spirit within the government workforce, providing them the opportunity to plan and prepare for the celebrations without financial strain.
