Guwahati; February 08, 2025: Assam is on the path to transforming into a high-tech manufacturing hub with the upcoming Jagiroad Electronics City, a project aimed at boosting semiconductor and advanced electronics production. The initiative, spearheaded by the Government of Assam, is expected to play a pivotal role in India’s technological advancement by creating a robust Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC).
The proposed Jagiroad Electronics City is set to house TATA Electronics as its anchor industry, with a focus on semiconductor manufacturing and high-tech electronics production. This move aligns with India’s vision to enhance domestic semiconductor capabilities and reduce reliance on imports.
