Assam Police Recognizes Officers for Championing Child Rights at Sishu Mitra Awards
Guwahati, July 22, 2024: Assam Police recently hosted the 2nd Sishu Mitra Awards at the Assam Police Institute. The event honored 26 officers for their exceptional efforts in championing child rights. Director General of Police Gyanendra Pratap Singh presented the awards, highlighting the officers’ extraordinary dedication.
Superintendent GMCH, the Nodal Officer for the SC/ST (PoA) Act, and the Special Public Prosecutor of Kamrup (M) also received special recognition. The Special POCSO Court was acknowledged for its positive role in advancing children’s rights.
The Assam Police reaffirmed its commitment to creating a safer world for every child. The event emphasized the importance of protecting children’s rights and celebrated those making significant contributions to this cause.
