Assam Police Apprehend 4 Infiltrators Along Indo-Bangladesh Border
Assam Police have intensified border security along the Indo-Bangladesh border, thwarting attempts at illegal infiltration. During a recent operation, officers apprehended four individuals who tried to enter India unlawfully.
The suspects were identified as Rumana Shaikh, Md Badshah Shaikh, Reksona Khatun, and Musama Aisha Khatun. They were intercepted near the border by vigilant police teams conducting regular patrols.
Following the arrest, the authorities carried out detailed questioning and investigations. After confirming their illegal status, the infiltrators were handed over to Bangladeshi officials. This step was in adherence to established repatriation protocols.
Officials emphasized that such strict measures are crucial to maintaining security in border areas. Regular monitoring and joint coordination between agencies are being ensured to prevent similar incidents.
The Assam Police reiterated their commitment to safeguarding India’s borders and urged citizens to report any suspicious activities.
