Assam Police Thwart Infiltration, Push Back Five Bangladeshi Nationals on Indo-Bangladesh Border
Guwahati, September 06, 2024: Assam Police successfully prevented an illegal infiltration attempt along the Indo-Bangladesh border on September 5. Acting swiftly, the security forces intercepted and pushed back five Bangladeshi nationals who were attempting to cross into India under the cover of darkness.
The individuals, identified as Md. Sabir Rahman, Md. Sakil, Dilwar Hussain, Md. Ali, and Md. Bhaijit, were detected by Assam Police during a midnight operation. Their presence was spotted near a vulnerable section of the border, where the police have been maintaining heightened vigilance to prevent illegal crossings.
Assam Police have increased security along the Indo-Bangladesh border due to rising concerns over infiltration. Their prompt action in this case prevented unauthorized entry and demonstrated their commitment to protecting the integrity of India’s borders.
