76,000 Yaba Tablets Seized by Assam Police in Major Anti-Narcotics Operation
In a major anti-narcotics operation, Sribhumi Police successfully seized 76,000 Yaba tablets in the Patel Nagar area. The operation, led by Superintendent of Police Partha Protim Das, targeted two vehicles coming from a neighboring state. Upon interception, police recovered the contraband and arrested three individuals involved.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma praised the police for their commendable efforts. He expressed his appreciation on social media platform ‘X,’ saying, “Good job Assam Police.”
This operation reflects the Assam Police’s commitment to combating drug trafficking in the region. Yaba tablets, known for their addictive properties, have posed a significant threat to public health and safety. The successful interception showcases proactive policing and strengthens the ongoing fight against narcotics in Assam.
