Assam Celebrates Bhogeswar Baruah’s Legacy with State Sports Awards

Guwahati, September 03, 2024: In a heartfelt tribute to Bhogeswar Baruah, Assam’s first Arjuna awardee, the Government of Assam celebrated his birthday by honoring the state’s top athletes and coaches with the prestigious State Sports Awards. – Shri Krishna Das, an inspiring para swimmer.
– Shri Abhishek B. Gogoi, a special athlete in cycling.
– Shri Rajib Dey, a dedicated Physical Training Instructor at IIT Guwahati.
– Shri Kalyan Barman, a committed Physical Instructor at the Nalbari District Sports Office.
– Shri Anup Konwar, a proficient Weightlifting Coach from the Sivasagar District Sports Office.
– Shri Uttam Handique, an athletics coach from the Tinsukia District Sports Office.
