Heroin Worth Thousands Seized by Assam STF During Raid in Guwahati
Guwahati: Acting on specific intelligence, the Special Task Force (STF) of Assam conducted a raid at Natun Bazar under Basistha Police Station in Guwahati. During the operation, the team apprehended a suspect involved in drug peddling.
The raid resulted in the seizure of 22 vials containing heroin, weighing 29.33 grams. In addition to the drugs, the authorities also seized a mobile handset and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The STF launched the operation as part of its ongoing crackdown on the drug menace in Assam. The arrested individual is currently in custody, and further investigations are underway to identify others involved in the drug network.
