Assam STF Seizes Fake Gold, Cash, and Phones in Betkuchi Operation
Guwahati: Acting on specific intelligence, the Special Task Force (STF) of Assam conducted a raid inside the ISBT, Betkuchi, under Gorchuk Police Station in Guwahati. During the operation, the team apprehended an individual involved in suspicious activities.
The raid led to the recovery of one biscuit-shaped piece of fake gold weighing 742.2 grams. In addition, the STF seized cash amounting to ₹1,31,332 and three mobile phones from the accused. These items are believed to be connected to illegal activities under investigation.
The operation was carried out with precision, highlighting the commitment of the STF to curb illicit trade and ensure public safety. The arrested individual is currently in police custody, and further investigation is underway to uncover any links to larger criminal networks.
