Assam STF Seizes Heroin in Two Separate Raids
Guwahati: In a anti-drug operation, Assam’s Special Task Force (STF) conducted two successful raids, seizing nearly 30 grams of heroin. Acting on reliable information, the STF team first raided Athagaon, under Bharalumukh Police Station’s jurisdiction. During this operation, they arrested one individual and recovered a soapbox containing 13.88 grams of heroin. The team also seized a mobile phone as evidence.
Shortly after, the STF carried out another operation at Ulubari, under Paltanbazar Police Station’s jurisdiction. This raid resulted in the arrest of another person, along with the seizure of a soapbox containing 16.11 grams of heroin. An autorickshaw linked to the operation was also impounded, further strengthening the case against the suspect.
These back-to-back operations underscore Assam’s commitment to combating drug trafficking and ensuring public safety. Authorities are continuing their investigations to dismantle the networks behind these illegal activities.
