Assam Vigilance Team Catches Land Record Assistant Red-Handed in Bribery Case
In a decisive operation, the Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Assam, caught a government official accepting a bribe. Daneswar Daimary, a Land Record Assistant in the Bajali Revenue Circle office, was trapped red-handed in his office.
The incident occurred when Daimary demanded and accepted money from a complainant. The bribe was sought in exchange for assistance with a land partition matter. Acting on the complaint, vigilance officers conducted the operation and apprehended him immediately.
