Assam Vigilance Team Catches Police Officer Red-Handed in Bribery Case
Dhubri, July 15, 2024: Today, a Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption team in Assam caught Sub-Inspector (UB) Fozayel Hussain from Fakirganj Police Station, South Salmara district, accepting a bribe. The incident took place at a pan shop in front of the police station.
Hussain allegedly took the bribe to provide relief in a criminal case. The operation was based on a complaint filed with the vigilance team. After receiving the information, the team acted swiftly to apprehend Hussain in the act.
