Bangladeshi Infiltrator Caught and Pushed Back by Assam Police in Karimganj

Bangladeshi Infiltrator Apprehended and Pushed Back by Assam Police in Karimganj

In a decisive move to safeguard the Indo-Bangladesh border, Assam Police, in coordination with the Border Security Force (BSF), successfully intercepted and pushed back Bangladeshi infiltrators near Karimganj. On a recent patrol, forces apprehended a Bangladeshi national, Mohibulla, close to the International Border. He was immediately sent back across the border, ensuring no breach in the security of the region.

In a separate case within the Karimganj district, another Bangladeshi national, identified as Md. Arif, was apprehended by Assam Police. After being captured near the border, Arif was swiftly pushed back into Bangladesh. The seamless operation reinforced the commitment of Assam Police to protect Indian territory from unauthorized entry.

These recent pushbacks are a part of broader efforts by Assam Police to strengthen security along the Indo-Bangladesh border, particularly in Assam’s Karimganj district. This region, known for its porous borders, remains a prime target for infiltrators seeking illegal entry into India. However, with the Assam Police and BSF working in close coordination, the frequency of successful infiltrations has drastically reduced.

Authorities have stressed that the vigilance will continue as they work to prevent illegal immigration and protect the integrity of the border. Assam Police personnel, in particular, have been on high alert, closely monitoring movement along the border. Their quick response and effective handling of the situation have been commended by higher officials.

As Assam shares an extensive border with Bangladesh, the role of Assam police and paramilitary forces is crucial in maintaining security. With the increasing challenges posed by cross-border infiltrators, continuous surveillance and prompt action remain key to ensuring border safety.
