Sorbhog, January 16, 2024 — The historical Mahaprabhu Sri Sri Gorokhia Gosair Than in Sarbhog, Barpeta District, is immersed in the celebration of Magh Bihu from January 15 to 18, featuring a variety of programs. The 600-year-old shrine witnessed the presence of dignitaries, including Ashok Singhal, Minister of Irrigation, Government of Assam, and Phanidhar Talukdar, MLA, Bhawanipur Constituency.
On the second day of the celebration, January 16, 2013, Minister Ashok Singhal graced the event, marking a significant moment in the festival. The awards ceremony had Hon’ble Phanidhar Talukdar, MLA, Bhawanipur Constituency, as the invited guest. Dr. Biren Kumar Chakraborthy, former Chairman of Barnagar College, unveiled the Bhaktidarpan during the event.
