Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma lauded the operation on his microblogging platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter). He praised the police team’s dedication, writing, “Good job Assam Police,” while emphasizing the importance of maintaining the state’s momentum in curbing illegal activities.
The seized cannabis, packaged and concealed within the vehicle, was being transported for distribution in the region. The apprehended suspects are under custody, with further investigations underway to uncover their network.
