Baksa, February 23, 2024: The vibrant Bodoland Territorial Region Kisan Mela kicks off a two-day spectacle today, showcasing the agrarian prowess of the region. With an investment of Rs 50 lakh, numerous agricultural establishments converge, spotlighting their indigenous harvests.
Spanning five districts of BTR, the Kisan Mela captivates visitors with a diverse array of agricultural treasures. The stalls exhibit alluring produce, ranging from enhanced cabbage and bottle gourd varieties to radishes, assorted mushrooms, and improved saplings.

Ghanshyam Das, the Executive Member of the Agriculture Department in BTR, inaugurates the Kisan Mela. Expressing optimism, Das affirms that this fair serves as a catalyst to motivate farmers. Furthermore, he emphasizes the provision of farmer training within the precincts of the Mushalpur Durgamandir courtyard, where the Kisan Mela unfolds.
