Dhubri, January 24, 2023 – In a commendable initiative, the 19 Bn BSF organized a Civic Action Programme, Inter-Village Volleyball Match, and Pre-Recruitment Rally on January 24, 2024, at BOP Pattamari. The event, held from 10:00 AM to 2:15 PM, aimed to foster community engagement and strengthen ties with nearby bordering villages.
The programme was inaugurated by Sunil Soibam, Commandant, 19 Bn BSF, in the presence of Gaurav Yadav, Deputy Commandant of the Unit, All Company Commanders of 19 Bn BSF, President, Members, and VDPs of GP Pattamari & Bhogdore, along with other notable figures from surrounding villages.
As part of the initiative, various essentials were distributed to the needy border population from villages Pattamari, Takkamari, Abulchar, Sastraghat Pt-I, Sastraghat Pt-III, Digaltari Pt-I, Digaltari Pt-II, and Bhogdore. The distributed items included Sewing Machines, Water Storage Tanks, Solar Lights, Grass Cutter Machine, Raincoat, Stationary Items, Sports Items, Boards, Dustbins, and School Benches.
Simultaneously, an Inter-Village Volleyball Competition took place, fostering a sense of camaraderie among the villagers and BSF personnel. The event not only provided recreational opportunities but also contributed to building strong relations within the community.
Additionally, a Pre-Recruitment Rally was conducted to motivate and encourage the youth to consider joining the security forces and serve the nation with pride. The local villagers expressed their happiness and gratitude for the humanitarian gesture shown by BSF.
Sunil Soibam, Commandant, 19 Bn BSF, reiterated BSF’s commitment to providing all kinds of assistance for the well-being of the bordering villages. He assured the residents that BSF would continue organizing such programs in the future, aligning with the needs of the border villages. Sunil Soibam also urged the people to remain vigilant for the upcoming Republic Day to avoid any untoward situations in the bordering area.
