Cachar Police Seize ₹2 Crore Worth of Codeine Syrup in Anti-Narcotics Operation
In a significant anti-narcotics operation, Cachar Police intercepted a vehicle transporting illegal substances near Damcherra. Acting on credible intelligence, the team conducted a thorough search and seized 11,100 bottles of Codeine-based cough syrup. The estimated market value of the recovered consignment is ₹2 crore.

Sharing the news on his official ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) handle, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma lauded the efforts of the Cachar Police.
