Police Seize 4000 Yaba Tablets in Cachar Operation
Silchar, May 20, 2024: In a swift operation prompted by actionable intelligence, the Cachar Police have apprehended Akash Baishanb, a resident of Gobindakupa, Digorkhal, Cachar, at Kalain Market. The operation, conducted on the basis of a tip-off, resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of illicit substances.
Upon search, Police officers recovered 4000 Yaba tablets from the possession of Akash Baishanb. These tablets were found concealed within his motorcycle, identified by its registration number AS 11Y 0353. The seizure of both the contraband and the motorcycle transpired in accordance with due legal process, under the watchful eyes of witnesses.
The Cachar Police have initiated a thorough investigation into the matter. This marks another proactive step in the ongoing efforts to curb the scourge of drug trafficking in the region.
