March 26, 2025: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Cachar Police seized YABA tablets worth ₹20 crore during an anti-narcotics operation. The raid took place in the early hours near the Assam-Mizoram border, specifically in Raj Gobindpur, Cachar district.
Acting on intelligence, police raided a house suspected of being a hub for illegal drug activities. During the search, officials recovered 66,000 YABA tablets. These highly addictive pills are often smuggled into India from neighboring countries.
