Cachar Police Seize ₹20 Crore Worth YABA Tablets in Major Anti-Drug Operation

March 26, 2025: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Cachar Police seized YABA tablets worth ₹20 crore during an anti-narcotics operation. The raid took place in the early hours near the Assam-Mizoram border, specifically in Raj Gobindpur, Cachar district.

Acting on intelligence, police raided a house suspected of being a hub for illegal drug activities. During the search, officials recovered 66,000 YABA tablets. These highly addictive pills are often smuggled into India from neighboring countries.

The seizure highlights the growing challenge of drug trafficking in the region. Authorities have intensified efforts to curb the supply chain. Investigations are ongoing to trace the origins and possible links to larger drug networks.
