Mangaldoi, January 20, 2024 – In a landmark celebration, the Darang District Keot Conference is set to commemorate its 100th anniversary with a grand festival hosted at Sadhiram Chaharia and Gangaram Deka Samannya Kshetra in Rangamati, boasting a budget of fifty lakhs. The event is scheduled to unfold over three days from January 21st to 23rd.
To ensure the festival’s success, twenty sub-committees have been diligently formed to oversee various aspects of the commemorative event. The welcoming committee, alongside enthusiastic sub-committees and local residents, eagerly anticipates welcoming thousands of attendees.
The festival’s agenda on January 21st and 22nd includes a diverse array of programs and book launches. The pinnacle of the celebrations will be a spectacular cultural procession on January 23rd, showcasing the rich and varied cultures of different ethnic groups.
The grand opening ceremony is expected to be graced by esteemed guests, including Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam Government Ministers Ranjit Kumar Das, Chandra Mohan Patowary, Atul Bora, Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimari, MP Dilip Saikia, Mangaldai MLA Basanta Das, and Sipajhar MLA Dr. Paramanand Rajbanshi.
