Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma Reviews 5000-Seater Auditorium Construction at Khanapara
Guwahati, September 13, 2024: Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma recently visited the construction site of a 5000-seater auditorium at the Veterinary College in Khanapara. He inspected the ongoing work, aiming to review the project’s progress. The auditorium, a significant development in Guwahati’s cultural infrastructure, will serve as a key venue for large-scale events.
To ensure the highest quality, the Chief Minister proposed the formation of a committee consisting of ten renowned artists from Assam’s cultural community. This committee will oversee various aspects of the project, ensuring the space reflects the state’s rich heritage.
During his visit, Dr. Sarma urged the construction company and the PWD (Building) to complete the auditorium within the given timeline. He emphasized the importance of timely execution to meet Guwahati’s growing cultural and infrastructural needs.
This project marks a significant step in addressing the long-standing demand for a large-scale auditorium in the region. The Chief Minister’s initiative aims to ensure both quality and timely completion, contributing to the cultural landscape of Assam.
