Chief Minister Launches Vikas Yatra, Unveils ₹210 Crore Development Projects in Charaideo and Sivasagar
Desk Report, March 12, 2024: In a significant development, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma marked the commencement of the Vikas Yatra by unveiling and laying the foundation stones for various developmental ventures in Charaideo district. The cumulative investment for these projects amounts to an impressive ₹210 crore.
Among the noteworthy endeavors are the Mahmora sports project, rural road enhancements, a state-of-the-art office for the SP of Charaideo, the establishment of a weekly market, police barracks, and the implementation of public water supply schemes.
A key highlight is the Mahmora sports complex in Goroimari, Charaideo, constructed at a cost of ₹10 crore. This state of the art facility is poised to revolutionize the sports sector in the state, providing a fresh perspective and elevating the overall sports infrastructure.
Adding to the list of inaugurated initiatives is the Export Oriented Pork Processing Plant in Chanbesa, Sivasagar. Representing a collaborative effort between the Government of Assam and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, this unit is expected to stimulate pork production and enhance the financial well-being of our livestock farmers.
These groundbreaking projects unveiled today underscore the commitment of the government to fostering comprehensive development in the region. With a focus on sports, infrastructure, and agriculture, these initiatives aim to propel Charaideo district into a new era of growth and prosperity.
