CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Reviews Preparations for Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit
Guwahati; February 20, 2025: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the College of Veterinary Science playground in Khanapara to inspect preparations for the upcoming Advantage Assam 2.0 summit, scheduled for February 25-26, 2025. The event aims to showcase Assam’s vast investment potential and cultural heritage while attracting investors from across the globe.
During the visit, CM Sarma assessed the progress of meeting room construction, pavilion setups, and exhibition venues. He provided essential directives to ensure smooth execution and high-quality arrangements. Authorities have been instructed to maintain strict timelines and uphold global standards for the summit’s infrastructure.
Earlier in the day, CM Sarma chaired a high-level meeting with Cabinet ministers and senior officials to review the final preparations for Advantage Assam 2.0 and Jhumoir Binandini. He emphasized the need for seamless coordination among departments to present Assam as a prime investment destination.
The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of balancing economic growth with cultural representation. He stressed that Assam’s rich traditions should be prominently featured alongside its economic potential. Authorities are working to create an event that reflects the state’s strengths while fostering new opportunities in trade, infrastructure, and industrial development.
With only a few weeks left for the summit, the Assam government is making final adjustments to ensure a world-class experience for investors, dignitaries, and participants. The state is expected to unveil key investment projects and policy incentives, aiming to drive economic growth and employment opportunities in the region.
