Cyber Police Recover ₹2.35 Lakh Lost in Satgaon Online Investment Scam
Guwahati: The Cyber Police Station team successfully retrieved ₹2,35,310 from a scam targeting a resident of Satgaon, Assam. The victim had previously fallen prey to a fraudulent online investment scheme, losing ₹15 lakh.
The scam involved fake investment opportunities, luring the victim into transferring substantial sums of money. Following the report, cyber officials tracked the fraudulent transactions and recovered a portion of the stolen funds.
Efforts are ongoing to retrieve the remaining amount. The authorities have intensified their investigation, aiming to identify and apprehend those behind the scam.
Cyber Police urge citizens to stay vigilant against online schemes that promise high returns. Residents are advised to verify the authenticity of investment platforms before transferring funds.
