Youth Arrested for Uploading Pornographic Video in Dhubri
Dhubri, July 27, 2024: Khairul Islam, a 25-year-old resident of Islamnagar, Dhubri, has been arrested for allegedly uploading an objectionable video involving a minor to a pornographic website. The video, recorded three to four years ago, features a minor who is now eight years old.
The arrest follows an investigation by the Dhubri Police’s cyber cell, which acted on information received about the video. The case, registered under Dhubri Police Station Case No: 262/2024, includes charges under Sections 6, 14(2), and 15 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Section 83(2) of the Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act.
Islam was presented before the Dhubri Court and has been placed in police custody for a three-day remand as the investigation continues.
