Alleged Impersonators of RPF Officials Apprehended in Dhubri
Dhubri, April 13, 2024: In a recent development, authorities in the Dhubri district have apprehended two individuals suspected of impersonating senior officers of the Railway Protection Force (RPF). The incident, which occurred on the night of Eid-ul-Fitr, unfolded within the confines of the Dhubri district jail, where the alleged perpetrators purportedly caused disruption while presenting themselves as Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP) within the RPF hierarchy.
The primary suspect, identified as 38-year-old Roushan Mondal hailing from the Jhagrarpar locality, was accompanied by his alleged accomplice, 31-year-old Arif Iqbal Ahmed, a resident of Ward No. 07 in Dhubri town. Their purported masquerade as high-ranking RPF officials was swiftly brought to an end through the proactive measures undertaken by the Dhubri police personnel.
Following their apprehension, both Mondal and Ahmed are currently being held at the Dhubri Sadar police station, awaiting further legal proceedings. A case has been registered against the duo in connection with the disruption caused at the district jail.
