Golakganj Police’s Operation Leads to Seizure of Drugs and Alcohol
Agomani, April 14, 2024: A recent operation by Golakganj Police along the Indo-Bangladesh border resulted in a significant seizure of Ganja (also known as cannabis) and liquor. Led by Debojit Kalita, Officer in Charge at Golakganj Police Station, the operation targeted areas near the border.
During the operation, Golakganj Police seized 210 bottles of foreign liquor and 30 packets of local spirits at Nalia bazaar, within Golakganj Police’s jurisdiction. Additionally, at the same location, 1 kg 700 grams of Ganja was seized from the residence of Manik Chandra Roy.
Upon learning about the police presence, Manik Chandra Roy fled the scene. However, another individual, Bipul Chandra Roy, was apprehended by Golakganj Police.
