Guwahati Marathon 2025: Traffic Regulations on NH-27 from 3 AM on February 9

Guwahati; February 09, 2024: The Guwahati Marathon 2025 is scheduled for February 9, beginning at 5 AM from Sarusajai Sports Complex. The event will cover the stretch between Basistha Flyover (Khanapara side) and Garchuk Flyover (Jalukbari side) on NH-27. To ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety, the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Guwahati, has issued specific regulations effective from 3 AM on the same day.

Traffic Regulations for NH-27:

1. Vehicles moving from Khanapara to Jalukbari will use the main carriageway of NH-27.
2. Vehicles in the service lane from Khanapara to Jalukbari will be diverted near Beharbari Flyover (opposite Brahmaputra Bazar) to the main NH-27 carriageway.
3. Traffic from Jalukbari towards Khanapara will use NH-27 normally until Gorchuk Flyover, where it will be diverted to the Service Road.
4. The diversion will extend to Lokhra Chariali under-bridge, from where vehicles will be redirected via the southern service lane (opposite Sarusajai Sports Complex) to Beharbari Flyover under-bridge.
5. At Beharbari Flyover under-bridge, traffic will be redirected to the northern service lane for movement toward Khanapara.
6. The diversion will continue until Basistha Flyover, where vehicles will return to the main NH-27 carriageway.
7. The entire service road on both sides of NH-27, from Gorchuk to Koinadhora, is designated as a No Parking Zone.
8. No vehicle is allowed to move against traffic flow in the service lane.
9. Emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire tenders are exempted from these restrictions.

Commuters are advised to follow these guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
