The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Abu Firdaus Raji from Mangaldoi, was arrested on Sewali Path after reports of his suspicious activities involving stolen vehicles surfaced.
Police discovered that Raji had been using the OLX platform to locate sellers and present himself as a genuine buyer. Once the negotiation phase reached the point of a test ride, Raji would take the opportunity to flee with the motorcycle. During the arrest, Police officials recovered a bike bearing the registration AS 18 M 1149, which is suspected to have been stolen.
