Recovered Electronic Gadgets Display Extended for Public Identification at Guwahati Police Commissioner’s Office
Guwahati, June 15, 2024: In a significant move to curb theft and assist victims, the Guwahati Police have showcased 650 recovered mobile phones and 16 laptops, which were either stolen or snatched. The display took place on Friday at the Commissioner of Police office in Pan Bazar, drawing a large crowd of hopeful citizens.
Residents who had lost their electronic devices flocked to the site, eager to identify their belongings. The scene was filled with joy as several individuals successfully reclaimed their stolen mobile phones and laptops.
Assam’s Director General of Police also attended the event, personally handing over recovered devices to their rightful owners. Buoyed by the positive response from the public, authorities have decided to extend the display for another day.
Citizens who believe their gadgets might be among the recovered items are encouraged to visit the Commissioner’s office. They can claim their belongings by identifying them and providing proof of ownership.
