Heavy Rainfall Causes Water-Logging and Traffic Disruptions Across Guwahati
Guwahati, September 01, 2024: Guwahati has experienced heavy rainfall since yesterday, causing severe water-logging in several areas. Traffic movement has slowed significantly in the city due to these conditions. The most affected areas include Balughat under Basistha Police Station, near Little Flower School, and Sijubari under Hatigaon Police Station.
Additionally, water-logging has impacted Survey-Wireless under Hatigaon Police Station, Rukminigaon near PIBCO point on GS Road under Dispur Police Station, and Rajgarh Road. Motorists and commuters are advised to exercise caution and seek alternative routes to avoid delays.
Authorities are working to address the flooding and restore normal traffic flow. Residents are urged to stay informed about road conditions and plan their travel accordingly.
