Police Seize Banned Indonesian Cigarettes Worth Over Rs 30 Lakh in Morigaon District

Morigaon, Macrh 17, 2024: Morigaon district witnessed a significant seizure by MikirBeta police, who intercepted a truck bearing registration number AS 02 CC 8299 from Baropujia. The truck was found to be illegally transporting banned Indonesian cigarettes, valued at over Rs 30 lakh.

According to the Officials at Mikirbheta police station, while the driver managed to flee the scene, the handyman accompanying the consignment was apprehended. The police have initiated an investigation to uncover further details regarding this illicit activity.
